OSTU has been organizing the Summer School of Russian Language since 2010. About 30 foreign participants attend this School every year. The interest in Summers School is caused by their desire to improve their knowledge of Russian language for further studying at the University at the Russian Language courses or to acquire communicative experience that can be later applied to work in Russia or in their native country (e.g. in in the field of tourism). Summer school students acquire new knowledge not only with a book in the classroom, but also through direct communication with native speakers within excursion programs.
In their free time the students get to know the history and laboratories of OSTU, the city sites and do sports.
The Summer School program is shaped according to the level of proficiency in Russian, determined by the entry test, and the demands of the participants.
Over the years the citizens of Germany, Italy, Republic of Korea, China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Iraq, Syria, Uganda and Nigeria were among the participants of Summer School of Russian Language at OSTU.
