5th Russian national sports competition for foreign students of Russian universities
On May 2 to May 5, Yekaterinburg hosted the 5th Russian national sports competition among foreign students of Russian universities. Competitions were held in eight disciplines: table tennis, mini-football, park volley, streetball, rock climbing, shooting sports, checkers and chess. This event brought together 22 teams from Russian universities, which included students from more than 30 countries.
The opening ceremony of the competition took place on May 3rd at the Palace of game sports, where the guests of honor were rector of the Ural state University of Economics Yakov Silin, President Of the Association of foreign students of Russia Adu Yao Nikez, Minister of physical culture and sports of the Sverdlovsk region, former Omsk, Leonid Rapoport, and bronze medalist in athletics at the Olympic games in Sydney Olga Kotlyarova.
