MACHIAWELI'S TEACHING ON GOVERNANCE OF THE STATE

The article analyzes the social and political views of N. Machiavelli on the nature and functions of state activities. He carried out an independent interpretation of politics, revealed the basis of social life, deduced its natural laws, carried out an analysis of various forms of the state, put the most important survey on the freedom of the people as the basis of the strength and well-being of the state, its development, considered the problem of overcoming the depravity of the people, raised a very important question about the relationship between the masses and the sovereign, believing that the masses have civic consciousness and the will to develop society. Machiavelli condemns the acquisition and maintenance of power by atrocities, the enrichment of the sovereign by robbing the people. He indicates an important task - to contribute to the development of the state's economy as an integral part of its well-being.
